Founded in January 2007 with a motto, “We have to go back to work as soon as the game is over,” the Hudson United Women’s League is all about fun and friendship along with an awesome aerobic workout!
Soccer took off in the United States as a women’s sport in high schools and colleges in the 1980s, and many of the women who were part of this trend now live in and around Hudson. When HUSC conducted a survey in the fall of 2006 about the possibility of starting a women’s league, the answer was a resounding YES! And so now Hudson women have it, a league of their own.
The Women’s League plays on Saturday mornings. Players need to be at least 21 years old but we currently have players in their 20’s, their 30’s, their 40’s and in their 50’s! Most of our current players are experience but beginners are always welcome!
