As the situation surrounding the pandemic continues to evolve, Hudson United is committed to ensuring our safety protocols match those required by the state and our governing soccer organization, OHTSL. We will continue to rely on recommendations and guidance from the CDC and the broader medical community for insights into how to best protect our Hudson United family. We understand there are varying comfort levels amongst families, so we will do our best to be flexible in any situation with health and safety being our main priority. At this time, we ask all families to follow and respect the following guidelines as our fall season commences:
Face coverings will be required for players during entry/exit to the field(s);
Face coverings and social distancing are required for parents/guardians and other family members/friends while on sidelines for practices/games (if 6' distancing can be maintained, masks do not need to be worn while seated and watching);
Player bags/water bottles should be placed 6’ apart on sidelines to allow adequate social distancing during breaks;
Families should disinfect soccer balls prior to each practice/game;
Families should wash all pinnies/jerseys prior to each practice/game. For our travel players - be sure that both color pinnies are brought to each practice;
Goalie gloves and other commonly shared equipment should not be shared until further notice;
Parents should monitor their children for symptoms and ensure each child is temperature free prior to attending each practice/game;
Any player traveling to/from a state designated as a “hot spot” during their travel is required to observe a 14 day quarantine from HUSC activities
Any player who tests positive for COVID-19 is required to observe a 14 day quarantine from HUSC activities from the date of the test
We encourage each child to have hand sanitizer in their bag for regular use during practices/games;
Thank you for being a supportive part of the Hudson United family!
